Kicking Off Flight Plan for Success in New Orleans: Stories, Cocktails, and Conversations in Aviation

At Fly Business, we’re always looking for ways to connect deeper with the industry — not just in the air, but through meaningful dialogue on the ground. That’s why we launched our new podcast, Flight Plan for Success, during one of the most exciting weeks in private aviation: the NBAA Convention in New Orleans.

With so many key players in the industry gathering in one city, it was the perfect moment to hit "record" and start conversations that matter — with people we truly admire.

🎙️ Episode One: Mixing Cocktails and Perspectives with Avinode

Our first episode was all about mixing — not just drinks, but ideas and personalities. Set in the vibrant Drinklab, one of New Orleans’ top mixology studios, we joined Tim and Genesis from Avinode to learn how to craft classic cocktails and talk about what’s next for the aviation industry.

As the birthplace of iconic cocktails, New Orleans offered the perfect setting for this hands-on session. Between shaking and stirring, we shared laughs, stories, and industry insights — proving that sometimes the best conversations happen outside the boardroom.

♠️ Episode Two: Blackjack and Business Talk

For our second episode, we invited Michael and Ryan from Monarch Air Group for a more intimate session — a private game of blackjack where the conversation flowed as easily as the cards. Between laughs and strategy, they shared their experiences in the charter world, growth insights, and the challenges of standing out in a competitive industry.

🙌 A Big Thank You

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to our incredible guests — Tim, Genesis, Michael, and Ryan — for being part of this exciting beginning. Your openness, expertise, and good energy helped shape the tone of what Flight Plan for Success is all about.

This is just the beginning. We’re building a space for real conversations in aviation — and we’re thrilled to take off with all of you.

📍Follow us for more upcoming episodes of Flight Plan for Success, where we go beyond the runway to explore what really drives our industry forward.
